Kimberly Elter

Kimberly is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a special interest in infants, children and adolescents.

Kimberly (Kim) is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a special interest in Sensory Integration, Autism and developmental trauma. She has her Masters in Sensory Integration. Kim attends a number of Australian and International Conferences throughout the year to ensure her knowledge remains current. She is trained in a number of programs the practice utilises including; Integrated Listening System (iLS), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and Interactive Metronome (IM). Kim has also completed the SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) Train the Trainer course, and is registered with the NDIS to provide specialist behaviour support services.

Kim has worked in a variety of settings including child and adolescent mental health, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, special care units, special school settings and early intervention services. She has experience working with children who have physical and intellectual disabilities, sensory processing difficulties, Autism, ADHD, developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and dyspraxia as well as routine activities such as toilet training, feeding and sleep challenges. Kim has a special interest in working with young children.

Kim values the importance of the child as part of the whole family. She is dedicated to helping individuals and their families understand and overcome the challenges they experience in everyday life.
